(Jakarta, December 26th , 2011) - After completion setting the Minister of Communications and Information Technology regulation No. 22/PER/M.KOMINFO/11/2011 concerning the implementation of digital terrestrial television broadcasting for free fixed revenue (free to air) (Peraturan Menteri Kominfo No. 22/PER/M.KOMINFO/11/2011 tentang Penyelenggaraan Penyiaran Televisi Digital Teresterial Penerimaan Tetap Tidak Berbayar (Free To Air) ) and regulation No. 23/PER/M.KOMINFO/11/2011 concerning the Master Plan (Masterplan) of Radio Frequency for Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting, and then on December, 26th until 30th , 2011, the Minister of communication and Information Technology held a public consultation or public testing of draft Regulation of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Standard for free Fixed Revenue (Free To Air) in Indonesia (Rancangan Peraturan Menteri Kominfo tentang Standar Penyiaran Televisi Digital Teresterial Penerimaan Tetap Tidak Berbayar (Free To Air) di Indonesia) and also the Draft Decree of Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Broadcasting Organization of Business multiplexing Opportunity On Implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting for free Fixed revenue(Free To Air) in the Service zone 4 (DKI Jakarta and Banten), 5 (West Java), 6 (Central Java and Yogyakarta), 7 (East Java) and 15 (Riau Islands) (Rancangan Keputusan Menteri Kominfo tentang Peluang Usaha Penyelenggaraan Penyiaran Multipleksing Pada Penyelenggaraan Penyiaran Televisi Digital Teresterial Penerimaan Tetap Tidak Berbayar (Free To Air) di Zona Layanan 4 (DKI Jakarta dan Banten), 5 (Jawa Barat), 6 (Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta), 7 (Jawa Timur) dan 15 (Kepulauan Riau)) To those who interested in sending their responses, criticisms and suggestions, are expected to submitted no later than December 30th , 2011 at 24.00 pm to the email address: anang.latif@yahoo.com and gatot_b@postel.go.id.

Regulation of the Minister (RPM) of Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Standard for free Fixed Revenue Free To Air) in Indonesia, if it is already ratified. It  would replace Regulation No. 7/P/M.KOMINFO/3/2007 of Minister of Communications and Information Technology on Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Standards For No Mobile Television in Indonesia,the considerations of these are the progress and increase of the DVB-T standard that changed to DVB-T2 (second-generation DVB-T) , after the previous experienced review and consultation with the broadcasting industry players associated with the digital television broadcast standards, after the previous experience of review and consultation with the broadcasting industry actors that associated with the digital television broadcast standards.

Next, the certain expected by many of the broadcasting industry actors is the existence of the draft Regulation of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Standards for free Fixed Revenue(Free To Air) in Indonesia and also the Draft Decree of Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Broadcasting Organization of Business multiplexing Opportunity On Implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting for free Fixed revenue(Free To Air) in the Service zone 4 (DKI Jakarta and Banten), 5 (West Java), 6 (Central Java and Yogyakarta), 7 (East Java) and 15 (Riau Islands) . Some important things are stipulated in the RPM are as follows:

1. Open up business opportunities for multiplexing broadcasting (broadcasting by transmitting two or more programs on one channel at the same time) in a particular zone within the framework of the implementation of digital terrestrial television broadcasting for free fixed revenue(free to air), which is only granted to broadcasters private television broadcasting services.

2.  Selection of private broadcasting television broadcasting services to be defined as broadcasters multiplexing is done through the selection process, which held no later than two months since the enactment of Decree of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology related to business opportunities.
